Fire, fire, and videos

Page last updated on 8 November 1998

One of many fire-engine pictures I could have shown you. This one is being used as a filming platform by my video colleague Graham.
I achieved my ambition of having my own video/documentary company long before the deadline of 30 years of age. I worked on several interesting projects including Neighbourhood Watch promotions for the police, Civil Defence training videos and festive occasions.

The project I remember most fondly is the Darley Pump video because this involved filming a whole range of fire-engines in all sorts of interesting places. We drove around after rescue-pumps on the tarmac of Auckland International Airport. Went bush with forestry pumps. Checked out the bilge pumps in old sailing boats. Saw fire-engines build from the ground up. And got paid for it all too. What more do you want out of life :-)
