I am 26 years old, at least chronlogically speaking. Those who know me would say I waver between 12 and 40 for mental age. I live in Michigan, wanna know how the weather is here ? And I love living here. We get all the different seasons (I cannot imagine living somewhere that considers 50 degrees to be winter !) and avoid most all natural disasters. No earthquakes, big tornadoes, typhoons, hurricanes, major floods, prairie fires, locust swarms, and all those other horrid sounding things. We get snow, big time, on occasion, but that is kinda fun.
I am married - he's a great guy, you'd like
him. He calls himself by the slightly odd name of Hairboy. You can see
him in cartoon form at The
Casual Otaku web site, which he and our friend Les maintain, with occasional
efforts from me. Eventually you can see me there in cartoon form as well.
(Oh joy ! That has gotta just make your day !) It's everything you could
want to know about anime. What's anime ? Well, why not surf on in and find
out !
My parents also live in Michigan, which makes it convenient for sponging off them (kidding ! well, mostly kidding, anyway) as does the older of my two brothers. My younger brother in currently residing in Okinawa, Japan. That's pretty cool. Except that the military is paying for it, because he is a United States Marine. I cannot say I agree with his choice of career, but what can I do ? He's my baby brother after all.
I work full time on a computer helpdesk during the day. It can get a little crazy, but it pays the bills, and is relatively low-maintenance. We have a great team, you can check a few of them out, by clicking here, or here. I actually like my job, if that does not make me a total sicko !
As for my thoughts on the environment, well, let's just say I am like most people in the world: I try to do my part, but quite often convenience wins out over conscience, and I wind up being part of the problem, as it were. Unfortunately I am not alone in this. I am hoping that this page will help serve as a reminder to myself (and hopefully others, too !) to try to do more to protect our natural resources. Check the features page for my stuff on the environment so far. Or check my links page for other environmental sites.
By the way, for those of my friends and family who may have just dropped in, yes that is a button that says Pagans. I am admittedly a neophyte in the Paganism area, but I have to say that I feel very in tune with many pagan beliefs. I am currently studying/practicing Wicca (more studying than practicing, at this point). Please remember that everyone has a right to their beliefs. I appreciate your respect of that. Now, if you are curious as to what Wicca is, or about all things Pagan, click the button !!
I hope you enjoy the page - I am constantly learning so I update it and hope to be totally re-vamping it every so often. This web stuff seems tricky at first, but it amazing how fast one can learn it. If you haven't tried writing your own page, you should. I believe that everyone has something to say, and that everyone should be allowed to say their piece.
Like all webmistresses, I thrive on feedback, so PLEASE click my little picture, or the email button, and drop me a line to tell me what you think !
