This site is a school assignment. I chose to research, and become inviolved with, Garry Oaks because they are part of my heritage. I have heard about them from several different teachers of mine have mentioned them, and I wanted the whole story. I also like trees, so Garry Oaks was an obvious choice. I have made my project into a web site because there are very few sites about Garry Oaks and the problems associated with
them. I found this as a way of getting involved with not only the communtiy, but the whole world. In my communtiy, to get involved, I will participate in "broom pulls", and will protect Garry oak meadows in my neighbourhood. I will strive to provide you with the most complete information concerning the subject, and provide other ways of finding information about it. I hope you enjoy it.
