About 10 millions abandoned pets are put to sleep every year in the USA. Many animal lovers have a dream, that the bad pet owners would vanish from the earth. But they do not. This is only wishful thinking. We can't predict which buyer of a pet is going to abandon or maltreat the animal months or years later. Some people do not love their animals or the love vanish because of changes in ones life. But because we do not have absolute control over our emotions, we can't condemn a person who no longer loves his partner or pet. If we sell animals to people, some of them will always abandon them or put them in sleep - this is inevitable. The only solution is legislation, which allows the buyer of the pet to return the animal to the seller - and the seller have to take care of the pet without killing it. This will increase the prices of pets, but do we want 10 000 000 executions every year as a mean to keep pet-prices low?
