Looking for a solution

Canela had her sweet and funny aspects too. She was the only dog I've known that loved to eat vegetables as much as she liked to eat chicken. She ate cucumbers, onion, celery, lettuce, spinach, cabbage and such. We gave her special treats very often, like bones and candies (she loved the Hershey's "Kisses"!) and she would always do whatever we told her in order to get some of those treats.

Trying to see if the dog calmed her temper and energies a little, we decided to pay for her o be trained. (We had never trained a dog before, therefore we didn0t know what to do) Canela's vet was willing to help, so, Canela's training started. The dog seemed to be confused at first, not knowing when to sit or walk and hardly understanding what the word "junto" meant. (Junto would be the equivalent for "heel" in English) After a few days, she had kinda understood what she had to do, but, she was not obedient. The only way you could make her sit or stay was to threaten her with my dad's belt, or showing her a treat. I prefered the second option, and so I would pick a leaf of grass from the yard, or a trefoil (yeah, she loved them!) and offered it to her as a treat. It was so amazing to see her obeying! She would do anything! Sit, stay, and give you both paws. One thing she NEVER did, at least with me, was to obey the "heel" command. She only obeyed if the vet was around. Funny thing, she always behaved very good in front of the vet, but never at home.

After a few weeks, it was possible to have Canela untied, but always under supervision. We used to open the house's door, and Canela lied down at the entrance. Oh, how she loved to cheat! She would yawn and stretch herself, always walking a pace or two inside the house. She would change position, gaining more terrain, until she reached the rug. There she would start sniffing as if nothing was happening, and suddenly, she would get up and start walking and running all around the house. It seemed as she thought, "They don't know I will stand up and run around the dining room table!" :)

Sometimes, while she was lying down in the entrance, I played the piano, and Canela listened to me. She was not able to see me playing, but she listened; that was until she started yawning and stretching, she would move towards the piano, and, if nobody could stop her, she would go and mess up with the piano pedals. *sigh* I remember I said: "Canela! Get out!" while deep within myself I was thinking "Heh, cool, she's inside the house!" ;)
However, the training didn't work. You could not always offer treats to make her obey, and Canela had to remain tied most of the time, being free during weekends, and sometimes, not even then.
