Which are better? Whales or Dolphins?: Dolphins are spirited and nice, but I like the sheer majesty of the whales. Besides, who do you think protects us from the core creatures under the crust? :)

I occassionally float on by to see how my wifeykins is doing and she does have a rather nice page. I prefer manta rays and electro torpedide (sp? - Electric Rays) actually because of their shadowy grace but dolphins are still cute. I think we should clarify the question to be beluga whales v. pacific whitesided dolphins. Now there's a toughy. :)

Which are better? Whales or Dolphins?: Ooo.. tough choice. Dolphins and whales are as pixies and priests. Dolphins live for fun, whales are much more solemn, but no less spiritual. I feel more of a kinship toward whales, but "better" is not a w rd I can choose.

Great page! Keep up the good work on it. I believe that humans must establish a better relationship with the cetaceans. We must educate ourselves about them and learn to respect them and their ocean habitat. It isn't enough to not harm dolphins directly. We must also preserve all aspects of he environment in which they live. I would like to see more opportunities for people to interact with cetaceans in a manner that is positive for all concerned, including the cetaceans. One can read all about them, and appreciate them from afar, but nothing can replace actually experienci g them on a personal level. The study of dolphin intelligence is an intriguing subject to me. I am interested in how they learn and think. Perhaps it is possible to teach a dolphin an artificial language that could be used to communicate with him/her. If this could be done, the nowledge we would gain about these wonderful animals would be priceless. Keep up the great work on your page, Norma!
