Dark Ryders Find the High Numbers Are Still Rolling High

  High Numbers vs. Dark Ryders

It was clear from the onset that the world of the Dark Ryders was going to stay dark on Sunday, as the Ryders took a Goth voyage to hell at the hands of the High Numbers. As his team was clearly outclassed by the High Numbers, Solomon Hoppe was overheard mumbling "I'd rather listen to my Wham! collection than have to play the Numbers again." High Numbers owner (and, coincidentally, owner of the highest numbers of the week) Darren Shevchuk was just happy to eke out a win. Eke? Well, almost doubling a score can be considered eking in some peoples eyes, but we'll leave that perception up to you.

Final Score:  High Numbers  236  Dark Ryders  123

The Slugs Score Big, Not Big Enough To Get Past The G-Men

  G-Men vs. Banana Slugs

Kevin Spurling was left shaking his head again, wondering what the Slugs have to do to garner some more wins in the ever-competitive DBergFFL. "It's amazing. I have the third highest point total of the week, and I lost. Amazing. The scheduling gods are killing me." G-Men owner Geve Vesey was more sedate, as he was eagerly awaited the fate of his beloved Yankees. "Sure, the Giants winning is great, and the G-Men winning is even better, but the Yankees are where it's at." Too bad they're going to get pounded by the NY Mets in the eagerly awaited Subway Series, but that's another column for another time.  Go Mets!!

   Final Score:  G-Men  234  Banana Slugs  185

Razor's Edge Beats The Pack By A Shave And A Haircut

  Razor's Edge vs. Pop's Pack

Another week, another stellar performance by Kurt Warner propelled the Edge to victory over the anemic offense of Pops Pack. We're not sure, but it seems that the Edge could have fielded Kurt Warner and just his receivers to win this matchup. And considering James McKnight laid a Fantasy Football goose egg, that's not saying much about the firepower of Pops Pack. Amazingly, the Edge's backup QB, Jeff Garcia, had an even better game than Kurt Warner did. Perhaps the Edge would consider a charity donation of Garcia to Pops Pack to even the playing field a bit. After hearing this proposition, Joe Romero of the Razor's Edge said "Are you kidding me? There's no way in hell Kurt Warner stays healthy all season long. I'm going to need Garcia before the season is through." Somewhere in the distance, muffled sounds of sobbing were overheard.

   Final Score:  Razor's Edge  172  Pop's Pack  109

The Gators Whip Some Asses

  Tailgators vs. Wise Asses

Brian Berg, Owner of the Wise Asses could only watch in dismay and disgust.  His starting running back, Warrick Dunn, was good for a whole goose egg for the game against the Tailgators.  Why zero points you may ask?  How about the fact that Warrick Dunn and his team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were on a BYE Week.  Brian, come on! Where was your head?  Well, don't worry, what was left of it was taken clean off by the sharp jaws and vicious attack of the Tailgators.  While the rest of the Asses didn't do too bad, except for Brad "Help me, I suck this year" Johnson (24pts), they were still way to short to have any chance to win.  Meanwhile, the Gators were led by Marshall "Now you see me, now you don't" Faulk with his fine outing that totaled 64 points.  Rob Barzelogna the Tailgators Owner was pleased "well, you have Marshall and you just hope that he'll have games like this…….against the big teams like the High Numbers and G-Men that is.  Either way we won and now we'll try to have the Slugs for dinner this week.

Final Score:  Tailgators  166  Wise Asses  97
