Communicating Christ on the Internet

A Resource Web Site for Christian Churches and Ministries on the Internet

Welcome!

Did you know that there are several thousands Christian church sites and home pages on the Internet? I have spent hundreds of hours on the Internet the past three years doing intensive research on life on the Net. My estimate is that there are more than 15.000 church-related home pages on the Internet worldwide by July 1999. The number will continue to grow very rapidly as new churches join the Web from all over the world.

In 1997 I finished a doctoral dissertation at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, USA with focus on Christianity on the Internet. Included in the dissertation are two international survey's among both "cyberchurches" and "real" churches on the Net. The vast majority of churches are local congregations but some are also "virtual churches" or "cyberchurches" with a strong desire to spread the gospel via the Net. In addition, there are several hundreds other Christian Web sites from ministries etc. offering all kinds of information and resources. Do you want to know what the survey's revealed? Just click the buttons and discover the fascinating church-life on the Net . . !

The purpose for this Web site is to network together with Christians interested in new technology in general and the Internet in particular and how it can be used to communicate the good news of the gospel. If you want to know more about missions and evangelism on the Net take a look at some of these pages:
