Economic TeleDevelopment Forum - The Guide

We're working on a comprehensive Economic TeleDevelopment Resource Guide template, to be published at a later date on this page. In the meantime, we invite you to use the following survey as a tool to evaluate your community's progress towards fully competing in the global networked economy.

  8. How many facilities-based commercial communication carriers offer services within your community, and do you openly encourage new entrants to your local market?

  9. Does your community have a local Cable TV service provider, and if so does this provider currently offer, or plan to offer, communications services over their infrastructure (VoIP, VPN, etc.)?

  10. What types of commercial wireless communication services (i.e. analog cellular, digital PCS, paging, Wi-Fi, WiMAX internet access, etc.) are available in your community?

  11. Are there residential developments in your community that are "pre-wired" with infrastructure for high-speed communication services delivery (i.e. fiber to the curb)?
