PC Based Paging Controller, Type AEN3
Provision to associate the users name, job function, prewritten
messages, priority with their pager number. When a pager number is entered the
associated information is displayed.
Messages can be entered (or edited, if prewritten) while composing a call.
10 different bleep tones are available.
"Stored voice" facility - This feature allows a speech message from an AEN2

the message then rebroadcasts it to each transmitter zone. A maximum of 5 speech
messages can be stored in an archive. The last six calls are displayed for
information.
The call queue can be viewed, when required.
The system will support a remote output card. This allows alarms generated by
the system to control remote equipment via open collector outputs.
Absence indication from Aquarius racks only (via an RS485 bus or manually from
the PC). Collects data from stored absence racks and reports back to originating
peripherals or operator call screen.
Call log. A log of all system traffic is kept. This information comprises the
date, time, pager number, bleep tone, the call type and its origin, priority and
message. The most recent 100 calls in the log can be viewed on-screen, when
required. Call analysis can be made using a Microsoft Access database.
Paging calls can be routed via a modem to an area wide paging system.
Pagers are programmed "over air" with their identity codes from the PC.
All system configuration and database management is performed from the PC.
Password control is available at supervisor and operator levels.
The PC is supplied by Blick Communications Limited and is preloaded with all the
required software.
Confirmation of the receipt of speech calls is available from a slave terminal
used in conjunction with the AEN3 and call confirmation pagers (type APG8CX).
