IP 66 is an international standard for classifying degrees of protection provided by the Enclosures of electrical equipment. The fact that PAC readers have met the IP66 classification means that they have been subjected to a dust test and high pressure water hoses for a long period.

PAC Magnetic Stripe Reader

The PAC magnetic stripe reader has a highly durable metal housing, finished in polished stainless steel it incorporates three LED indicators. It can be connected directly to all PAC door controllers and can be mounted up to 500m away.

This reader carries a one year guarantee.

Uses magnetic stripe ID cards encoded with an 8 digit format on track two.

PAC AVR (Automatic Vehicle Recognition) reader module

The PAC AVR reader comprises a loop aerial (which is installed underground) and the reader module. The loop aerial reads the AVR transmitter (ID device) as it passes over the loop. The reader module should be installed in a sealed location. Contact PAC for more details.

It can be mounted up to 1000m from its PAC door controller.

There is a five year warranty against electronic failure.
