A Vision of the Past and Future of Humanity, |
|
and
|
This web site is to share my thoughts about the origins of humanity, three cognitive phases our species has gone through in its history and a critical fourth evolutionary juncture that we are experiencing now. It is also about the breathtaking opportunities that may lie ahead in the next few decades and centuries if we recognize and act upon them to extend human life beyond the average expected DEADline of seventy to eighty years or so.
With this new lease on life, human possibilities are not tunnel vision to just seven or eight decades but can be renewed indefinitely by serial brain transplantation into clonal bodies of our selves. Over the next few centuries we will have the time to work on colonizing the oceans by floating artificial island, space stations, Moon colonies as observatories and, later, the terraforming of Mars and possibly Venus. Later outer moons of Saturn and Jupiter hold promise and in later centuries interstellar travel may be considered.

Additionally we can find genetic cures from a complete human genetic
database from a completed Human Genome Project and can consider informed
decisions about genetically engineered improvements on the species such
as larger brain size, increased muscle mass, etc.
Thirdly, we can explore the frontier of human consciousness itself
in its neurological, phenomenological and psychological detail. This internal
frontier is as limitless in possibilities as the solar system and cosmos
that we can simultaneously explore in our interplanetary (Earth, Moon,
Mars, Venus) backyard of a multiworld human civilization.
Any questions or comments you may have can be given at the e-mail link at the end of each outline after the bibliographies. I will try to respond to all e-mail messages promptly and thoughtfully.
