I was delighted to be a voluntary teacher for displaced children when our universities were closed from 86-90 due to civil unrest. Taught Science for one year. I also had the opportunity to organise 'Astronomy for Charity Program' with the support of the Young Astronomers Association of Sri Lanka(YAA). In which we gave gifts and made the children happy with Astronomy.. |
