Jacques Louis Hamel

Born in Canada in 1948. Degree in engineering (Un. Laval, Canada), "Suficiencia" in Spanish (Malaga, Spain) and higher studies in business management (MBA, Paris) and economic analysis and planning (Ph. D. , LSE, London). Twenty-four years of experience in policies and programs, project management, strategic planning of industrial and technological development in industrialized and in developing countries. Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments. Fluent in French, English and Spanish and familiar with information technologies. Extensive international knowledge resulting from a stay of seventeen years abroad and travels in 118 countries (as of Nov. 98). Presently working as a Scientific Affairs Officer at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
