Angel Mountain Becomes Devil for Most

Houli destroys field with outstanding drives and fairway play

LAS VEGAS NV.--(Houli News)--Mar 22, 1999-- Despite slow play, Houli came away with a 14 to 4 hole play victory in Las Vegas. The ultra difficult Arnold Palmer design was humbled by Houli with devistating drives, and dart accurate iron play.

Spud Rose played equally well, at least for one hole, as he took away the big skins money. Said Spud, "It would have been a more competitive match with Houli if my cart mate would have been less erratic with his shots!"

Spud was referencing the play of Pat Hes in his comments. Houli proved to be more of a challenge to Hes than the course itself. Houli's consistant fairway drives applied all the pressure Hes could handle. Even additional green reading assitance from his foursome could not help Hes overcome Houli's performance.

Reluctantly in the clubhouse, Hes was witnessed handing over generous sums of money to Houli. In his own humble way, Houli stated, "It's not the money that's important, it's kicking Hes' butt after months of his bragging that is what I bring home from this outing. This will rank right up there with the day Hes lost to me as I used his own clubs!"

Hes was seen practicing all morning in his hotel room, three putting from the door to the windows. Houli laid in bed with flu like symptoms watching Hes go back and forth like a Hypmotyst's watch. It just wasn't enough for Hes this day.

Staush and Houli teamed up with some ladies from Columbia, MO for the round of golf. To Hes' early bragging their only comment was "Show me!"

In a death defying effort, Champagne Larry was seen repeatedly challenging the Rattlers for his Titlest. Some say, the Snake still won?

Look for rematches to occur thoughout 1999. Nick will be expected to join the battle. This rivalry is anything but over... And Hes may just want to find a new prep technique, maybe use the hotel hallway, it will be as close to 'long and straight' as he may ever be.
