A battery-operated tube receiver using DLL21
I found this circuit in a book printed in 1957 and decided to build it from scratch. The DLL21 tube was difficult to locate, but eventually I found one at Demostenes. The coil former was another hard-to-find part. See the pictures for more detail. The coil data data is for MW reception. According to the instructions, this receiver can used for shortwave with modifications to the coil, but in that case the variable capacitors must be air-insulated. My receiver uses tuning capacitors ordered from Wumpus's old radio world.
