Mail-in Application Process

To apply for an EIN by mail, do the following:

1. Complete Form SS-4, Application for Employer Identification Number. This form is available at IRS and Social Security Administration Offices. You can either pick up an application, or have one sent to you in the mail.
2. Sign and date the application.
3. Mail it to the service center address for your state.

You'll receive your EIN in the mail in about 4 weeks
