Using eZ80 family processors as a bridge between RS232 and Ethernet interfaces |

For simple demonstration of the gateway work we use the PC terminal program to connect to its serial port.
Program the ser2tcp.hex (from \gateway\ser2tcp) to an eZ80 Evaluation Board. After a reset the board is ready to work as the serial to TCP gateway. Connect either the port marked CONSOLE or the port marked MODEM of the board to the PC port used by a terminal program (such as HyperTerminal). Start the Remote Access, switch to the Gateway module. Use Tools/Options menu to setup the serial port remotely. From within the Gateway module select the IP address of the server and click the connect button. After the connection is established you can type in the terminal program and see the data coming to the Gateway at JClient and vise versa. You should see the packets incoming from the gateway in a packet view mode. Alternatively, you can switch to dialog mode and work as on remote terminal. For more instructions to the Gateway module see the Gateway client user guide
