The photo left pictures a fairly rare power amp designed for professional studio applications, that began manufacture just before the 303 (very similar housing) - the 50w monoblock 50E. For more info on this amp, see the Quad 50E page.

The bottom photo illustrates a Quad II rebuild by Chris Beeching of P M Components. Particularly interesting is the polypropelene double capacitor replacing the old double electrolytic. Apparently only 18 of these capacitors were ever made.
