who travelled all over Europe to support our glorious
team!
P.A.O.K. (Panthessalonikian Athlitikos Omilos of Konstantinoupolis)
was recognized as an
athletic club on April 21, 1926 in Thessaloniki, Greece. It
is by far the most popular team in Greece
and of the Greeks abroad. There are P.A.O.K. fan clubs all over
the world (N.Y., Cyprus, Australia,
Germany... ). The football team had a great season this
year. Finished 4th in the championship and
managed to disqualify English Champion Arsenal F.C. from the
U.E.F.A. cup. The 4th position allows
us to compete in the 1998-99 U.E.F.A. cup. The team was the
best greek team for this year in
Europe. It ranked #50 in the U.E.F.A. list. The basketball team
at this moment fights for the
greek championship. Eitherway we won a position in next year's
Euroleague by entering the greek
