The radio shack of

I'm glad you found your way into my radio shack.
This is me behind my Yaesu radio which is a pretty old cookie.
I bought it second-hand in 1998 together with the matching power supply.
The computer is a Pentium II 233 Mhz MMX which I use for logging, Encarta world atlas, digital communication and surfing the web.
Before this I had been out of the air for about 13 years. In that period I had the time to pass my exams to become a HAM amateur radio operator. In the 80's I had a Midland 7001 400 channel AM/FM/SSB CB.

I am not the person who is looking for a contact just for the contact.
I rather make a small chat to know more about my new friend. In my opinion that is the difference between DX-ing now and in the 80's.
There are to many Dx-peditions and worldcontests which crowd the frequencies.

I monitor the band normally on Sunday morning and start of looking for the 43 devision. If not found we monitor the 27.555.

I'm looking forward to have contact with you!

Remember We are not strangers, just friends who never met!
