If large flashbulbs are attached to each end of a long, fast-moving train and if each flashbulb discharges when the center of the train is directly opposite a photon detector fixed to the ground, the laboratory findings from binary stars and other moving light sources prove that the wave front from each flash will reach that detector on the ground simultaneously, regardless of the motion of the train. |
