Kollectors of Nasty Old Ties "ENTHUSIASTS AND ACCUMULATORS" Specializing in Bold Neckwear from the 1940's & 1950's
Long time friends, we started trying to make each other laugh (and embarrass our wives) by wearing outrageous neckties about 10 years ago. What started out as a joke has become an interesting hobby; old necktie collecting. We are particularly interested in the wide silk and rayon varieties of the late 1940's and 50's. Shortly after World War II ended, soldiers returning home in a festive mood wore some pretty loud ties. Flowers, leaves, sports, birds and mammals of every kind found their way onto neckties. There were also some very nifty abstracts often designed by some of the hottest artists of the day. Rarely do we find duplicates. We have found old magazine ads and try to find old ties that match. Wow! Now here are a couple of guys who don't have enough to do! Hope you enjoy seing some of our precious discoveries.
