THE PRODUCTS OF EQUAL AND JUST TRADE
The retail outlets of equal and just trade are often referred to as world
shops. In these shops one could find an impressive array of various products
including foodstuffs, handicrafts and textiles. These make excellent products
for personal consumption and are ideal gift articles.
These products are imported from over 33 countries in Africa, Latin America
and Asia. There are currently over 100 projects that offer job prospects and
a decent income to hundreds of employees form the south of the world. These
projects are a just alternative to the prevailing employement conditions in
these countries that are often based on various forms of human exploitation.
In these projects emphasis is placed on the use of local and renewable raw
materials that employ local traditions and technology.
