Well, today's going to be short. And boring.
Why? Well, I realised a) how much I spent last night, b) that a friend of mine didn't bother talking to me last night when I've not seen her for months and c) Sundays are boring.
Well, I knew about c) already, but if you go listing an a) and a b) without a c)...you look as if you're rambling on.
Apparently. I wouldn't know, I've never done it.

I've placed an order with Amazon for 14 HOURS of Tintin (the cartoon) on DVD. It's every episode for £25! RESULT! I've also ordered the Collectors Edition of Spaced. Every episode (I think) for £18. For those of you that don't know, the people who star in Spaced were in Shaun of the Dead. Same cast, same humour but different characters.
Can't complain.
The rest of the day was spent working on my project and playing with my sexy phone. Yes, I know I've already told you my new phone is ace. What's even more ace is the fact I've learnt that my phone has event lights! Rotating event lights!

My project's progress has been slow over the last few days.
Okay, non-existance. I haven't worked on it since Thursday. My bad, right? Well, I did some more paperwork explaining the fun I had making the animals move around and so on. That went pretty well. Then I tried making some diseases be unleashed. After 2-3 hours of tarting (yes, tarting) around, I realised that I was going about it the wrong way and could do it in a much easier way. So I had to back-track and try again.
The diseases are now half working. They diseases aren't contagious yet, nor are they hereditary, but once I get movement and mating really working they soon will be. I need to collar Steve about the movement yet.
Erk.
I can't really be bothered tonight. I'm ill and tired.

Mood: Alright
Well that wasn't so bad.
I might have had to put up with Terry's bitching about an exam that he did badly in for about an hour, but I don't really mind. As I got into Steve's class, we found out our poster presentation marks.
Highest mark in the class.
Get 'em in.
85% (A++) again, which is technically an improvement on my last section of the project!
Beat Terry as well, which didn't improve his mood.
Shame 0=)
The class wasn't so bad, kinda fun, and it's probably the most interesting. I also managed to ask Steve about getting animals to move to a specific co-ordinate. He suggested using trigonometry.

D'oh.
Me and Dan came up with a better way - drawing a line from the starting co-ordinate to the second co-ordinate, and then moving the animal along that line. The only drawback is that it will add more to the onscreen graphics, which I'm not keen to do. I then thought of having another 'layer' for path finding and numbering the path with a unique number for each animal. That would work, I think, although it will certainly take a while. However, the path finding is the last major hurdle. I think.
I dunno, I guess it needs work, but I'm having an early night, so it will have to be tomorrow at the earliest. Guess I can work on it tomorrow afternoon since I've no longer got the pleasure of seeing Holly on Tuesdays. I'd ring her, but her phone got left at Nat's.

I'm doing alright. Sure I miss her, and I can't wait to be with her again, but we'll be okay, I'm sure.
And yes, I did say that. The ever-pessimistic Bob said that about a relationship.

Jeff's class was cut short with Jeff not showing up and Steve not having an interest or even an understanding in RMI. I know I can't talk, but I'm not the replacement for Jeff! So yeah, we didn't get anything done in that. After that I came home and just sorta .. did bugger all really!

Today must be idiot day. Not content with dealing with someone who's posting
illegal mp3s on their site (including LPU-only ones) and using the say-so
of one bandmember as defence for breaking the law amongst other things,
I've gotta deal with someone else.
They ask for advice and aren't happy about someone introducing her to his family because he's seperated and not divorced. She seems to have a problem with his marriage status, yet dates him anyway! She seems to be an attention whore at times.
I asked why she was with him - her excuse was the bedroom athletics. GOD! If you're only in a relationship for that, it's not a real relationship. And she's not happy with him, so she should either put up with the problem she's having (that he's looking at rather...dodgy pictures - gasp not like any other guys look at that sorta stuff) or get rid.
She said she's after no-strings, and then gets worked up about him looking at dodgy pictures. And then she says he's not allowed to sleep with other people, even though it's all no-strings.
Go figure.
I pointed this out and now she's gone silent. Damn. =(
She's just being stupid and yet says men suck! She's either naive or stupid. I'm guessing the latter.
Jeez.
I realise I'm posting someone's personal life here, but she made it public by posting it on a public board and was looking for advice. So she is putting it up for public consumption, and if you're going to be awkward with me, I'll write about it! =P
Then our favourite debater guy (that I always write about) came up with another gold comment. Apparently numbers are physical. Also, if the universe has an end, and we can't measure beyond that end, it must mean numbers has an end, because numbers are directed related to the universe.
Muppet.
Someone else said that 1/3 does not equal 0.33333 ... recurring but in fact has an end. Of something other than 3. Somehow. Wouldn't explain how we 'know' that. Then when someone said we know different, she starts saying we don't know everything about mathematics and so it *may* do so.
So she contradicted what she said and proved her point invalid.
Sometimes they make it too easy.
Anyway.
Got up about 1:30pm and since it was a nice day and I had an overdraft to abuse, I went into town to spend spend spend.
So what if I can't afford it?! It's right! I'm only a few years a way from becoming the next Bill Gates.
*cough*
So yeah, I tried Reidy's (an independant music store) for another DJ Shadow album. Nada. Tried HMV again. Nada. I didn't want to get any more DVD's with Tintin and Spaced on the way (thankyou Amazon!), so it was CD's. Even though I don't need or particularly want any more. You'll all understand one day, trust me =P.
To cut a long story short I ended up buying Jeff Buckley's Grace (an artist Holly recommended) and Fischerspooner (electronic music)'s latest album, Odyssey. Both are pretty good. I also ended up buying Anchorman, which is pretty funny. It's not a laugh-a-minute but it does have some very funny parts.
Shame it cost me £18. I should have got Bubba Ho-tep instead I think O_O. So yeah, I spent another £40.
This is why I need Holly around, she'd help me control my spending! =P
I have to get up early tomorrow to help Terry with some project work.

Ughhh..
ACHOO!
Yes, the cliché blog entry for being ill is back.
Woke up this morning feeling awful, but I had to go in to help Terry out with his project. Speaking of Terry's he's convinced someone's sabotaged his work - and he's implying one person in particular. Bit daft really, for the hassle it could cause for him and his grades.
Not sure it's worth the risk, especially over something that's mere conjecture.
Anyway, it was pretty straight forward and took all of 15 minutes to do! Completely unnecessary, but oh well, guess it's another favour he owes me. Other than that I did do anything. Felt awful and sick, so I couldn't even eat properly. It got to the point I felt so ill that I had to come home. If I find it hard to find an interest in a topic when I'm healthy, it's SO not going to work if I've got a headache and a bunged up nose, is it?
On my way home I took a detour to the library to pick up a new book now that I've finished War of the Worlds. Talk about a disappointment! The ending was lame. H G Wells climbs up a mound and sees the aliens - dead. Turns out they got ill and died. That's it.
No, really.
Then everyone gets happy and supplies from abroad. End of!

Ended up getting a book on James the brother of Jesus and his ossuary. Looks alright anyway. I'll let you know how it is.
God I'm tired. I shouldn't have gone to bed at 4am. After a Kenny v Spenny (where they fought to be the best fashion designer), I watched Anchorman - half asleep. I think I fell asleep during bits, but it was a decent movie with a few good laughs.
So yeah, this afternoon I spent working on my project. I achieved quite a bit I guess. Or at least it feels like it. I've drawn up a checklist of things to do, and I've done about 55% of them. I managed to add day/night which is for pure visual graphics. I've added plants to the map, that get washed away when a flood occurs. I've removed the need for a plant layer, although I'm not sure I can do the same with the animal layer. It would be good as it would reduce the complexity of the World Cube, but I don't want to take it out only to realise I need it again, yeah? I've managed to slow down the speed a day passes by - splitting the 'day' into 30 minute refreshes, which is much better. I fixed the problem I had with my asteroid too.
Before, the animals were dying before the asteroid impacted with the ground, but I fixed that. I did a few more improvements, so yeah, good progress. Still, I'm getting to the most complex behaviours now and I've not a clue how I'm going to get most of them to work.
So now I'm off to watch some Tintin goodness (yes they arrived \o/). I've done enough work for one day.
One last thing - that guy who tried justifying himself spreading the LP mp3s proposed a 'deal' he'd take them off and we'd stop hassling him.

Mood: Good
Well, I imagine this will be short since it was a quiet day.
Got up just after midday and after playing with my new Qees (yep, they came THAT quickly) - I got the white and brown dog and the blue cat. They're so cool, although pricey O_O.
Shame I can't pick the ones I want, because I bought a triple pack of Qees, and two of them ended up being the same! I got two blue kitties, so I ended up giving one to my sister (because last time I got one, she said she wanted one, so of course, I had to tell her I'd get her one =P).
I also got some other weird Japanese ornamental things. Bit more pricey than the Qees, but they're the "it" thing in Japan. Again, they were randomly packed, and I just HAD to end up with the two least coolest ones.
O_O
Ah well, I'm sorted anyway.
I need to cut back on impulse buying, that's for sure.
Really missing her tonight. Not sure why - I guess just being reminded of how it's a while from seeing her or hearing from her. Meh.
Not much happening tonight. Can't be bothered doing anything. I did very little work earlier - although I guess it's good the animals now go for a drink when they're thirsty, and in worlds with less water, they die of dehydration so that's good.
Although I have realised I've not quite completed the asteroid disaster as much as I thought. There needs to be a random number generated to see whether the asteroid carries a disease that will infect the animals. I know it's not much, but I keep thinking of things I've missed out. Not good =_=.
And that's about it really.
Busy, huh?
The rest of the day was spent watching DVDs - Tintin and Spaced. Spaced is great lol.

At least I'll hopefully get to see her, it being Kay's birthday and everything.
Ah well.
In other news, the new Limp Bizkit track 'The Truth' has been released online. It's pretty cool. The vocals are a little sucky, but the bass line is awesome, and it seems Wes has fit right in. Good stuff.
Got another library book - although unfortunately it's work related. Having read the AI assignment and realising how BORING AS HELL it's going to be, I thought I'd better get some ideas on how to improve my essay writing abilities. I'm alright at writing them, but you can always improve it, yeah?

Not sure how Rovers will do - although our chances are better with no Henry or Campbell playing. We'll probably lose 1 or 2-0 anyway.
Today's been kinda boring really. Didn't get any work done or anything either, which makes me feel guilty. I was meant to decide what my assignment is going to be about (the AI topic section), but nope, just really can't interest myself about it. Which isn't good. I don't want this turning into another PI assignment, especially since I've 6 weeks to do it (and my project to finish as well!).
I should do some project work too.
Dammit. I need motiviation.
But no, instead I'm off to watch some more Spaced.
Such a good show =)

Mood: Okay
Ahhh I miss her.
I don't know - I guess things lately have been reminding me more and more of her. Saturdays do normally anyway, with going to the Cellar, and then Vies that plays certain songs etc. I'm not necessarily getting down about it all, I just miss her. Miss her smile, her laugh and so on. I won't go on, 'cos she'll probably get embarassed and say 'if you say so'.
It's probably going to be another week before I see her, if things go to plan. Which I don't know if they will, you know how things have been lately. It'll be great to see her, although I just hope she hasn't drifted. I can expect it a little not seeing each other properly in so long (due to various circumstances), but I don't want it to be irreperable.
Ahhh, I dunno.
Wish I could just hear her .. see her again.

Today was alright, Rovers didn't exactly do very well. Turns out it was 3-0 in the end - oops. The cellar was okay I guess. Little boring, but that's not suprising. I don't fit in there any more x_X. Other than that, I got home and tried working, but yeah, that didn't really happen. Doctor Who (which was still weird with aliens transforming pigs to appear like aliens) took up 45 minutes of my time, then I had to escort my sister to and from a party which took another 45 minutes. I guess I did a little bit of the write up for the Implementation section, but nothing exactly to be happy with.
Wish I'd done more with it really.
Meh. I guess the fact I've got another report, I'm being harder on myself. I guess I have to in order to keep on top with things. At least I've decided what I'm going to write about for the second part of my essay. I'm going to write about robots, and if I can, I'll mention Terminator.
Because it'd be funny =P.
Or even I, Robot, because my teacher loves that movie.
Wanted to work more on it this weekend that I actually did. Hell all I've done is read the question once!
