Dijon mustard 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning 1/8 tsp. pepper Combine all ingredients. Macaroni Salad 2 C cooked macaroni, rinsed in cold water 2 Tbs. finely chopped onion 2 Tbs. finely chopped green onion 2 Tbs. pickle relish 1/2 C mayonnaise 1 Tbs. catsup Combine all ingredients. Chicken and Ramen Salad 2 packages chicken ramen 1 small head cabbage, chopped 2 small cans white meat chicken 1/3 C olive oil 1/3 C vinegar Crumble ramen noodles into a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients, sprinkle with ramen seasoning packets. Toss. Ella's Hot German Potato Salad 8 medium potatoes 6 slices bacon, diced 1 medium onion, chopped 2 Tbs. flour 2 Tbs. sugar 1 tsp. celery salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 3/4 C chicken broth 1/3 C cider vinegar Boil potatoes until tender, drain and slice thinly. Fry bacon and onions until bacon is crisp, stir in flour and seasonings, add the liquids and continue stirring until thickened. Pour over potatoes, toss to coat. Serves 6-8. Bean Salad 2 cans green beans 1 small can kidney beans 1 can garbanzo beans 1/4 C sliced green onion 1/4 C rice vinegar 1/4 C olive oil 1 package Good Seasons Italian dressing mix Combine all ingredients. Ronnie's Western Rice Salad 3 C cold cooked rice 1 1/2 C diced ham 1 C frozen peas, thawed 1/2 C diced red pepper 1/2 C diced green onion 1 C ranch dressing, more if desired Combine all ingredients. Vicky's California Crab Salad 10 imitation crab sticks, chopped 2 stalks celery, diced 1/2 C green onion, sliced 1/2 C green pepper, diced 1 small can sliced olives 2 Tbs. pickle relish 1 C mayonnaise 1 Tbs. catsup or chili sauce salt and pepper to taste dash of Tabasco dash of Worcestershire sauce Combine all ingredients. Gloria's Pasta Salad 1 package pasta Trios, (or other fancy shape) cooked as directed then rinsed with cold water 1/2 C olive oil 1/3 C red wine vinegar 1-2 cloves minced garlic 1 Tbs. chopped parsley 1/2 tsp. thyme 1/4 tsp. oregano 1/4 tsp. ground bay leaf 1/2 C chopped green or red pepper 1/2 C chopped green onion 1 small jar marinated artichoke hearts, including liquid 1 small can mushrooms, drained 1/2 LB dry salami, cut into strips 1 small can sliced olives 1 small can green beans, drained Combine all ingredients. Festive Cranberry Salad Cranberry layer 2 envelopes Knox unflavored gelatin 3/4 C sugar 1 12 C boiling water 1 C chilled gingerale 1 1/2 C ground cranberrie s In a medium bowl dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water, then add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Add the cranberries and the gingerale. Pour into 12 cup mold. Chill until almost set. Creamy layer 3 envelopes Knox unflavored gelatin 1/3 C sugar 1 C boiling water 1/3 C Hiram Walker Cranberry Cordial 3 C sour cream 2 1/2 lemon sherbet, softened 1 1/2 C chopped walnuts In a large bowl dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water and add the sugar and stir until dissolved. With a wire whip or an electric beater blend in cordial, sour cream and sherbet. Let stand a minute until slightly thickened, fold in walnuts. Spoon onto cranberry layer. Chill until firm. Garnish with frosted cranberries and mint leaves. Molded Cranberry Waldorf Salad 1 small package lemon jello 2 C boiling water 2 Cups fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped 1 large orange, peeled, sectioned and diced 1 large red apple, peeled and diced 1 C celery, diced 1/2 walnuts, chopped Dissolve jello in boiling water, chill until thick. Add remaining ingredients. Spoon into mold. Chill overnight. Spaghetti Salad 1 package spaghetti, cooked then rinsed with cold water 1 package Good Seasons Zesty Italian dressing, mixed as directed 1 bottle Salad Supreme seasoning 1 small red onion thinly sliced 1 tomato, diced Combine all ingredients Wilted Lettuce Salad 2 heads leaf lettuce, washed, dried and torn into pieces 4 slices of bacon, diced 4 green onion, sliced 1 Tbs. vinegar 1 large pinch sugar salt and pepper to taste Fry the bacon until crisp. Add the onions, vinegar, and sugar to the bacon fat. Toss the hot dressing with the lettuce. Season with the salt and pepper. Spinach and Grapefruit Salad 6 C fresh spinach, washed, dried and torn into pieces 1/2 C sliced fresh mushrooms 4 green onions, sliced 1 C fresh grapefruit sections 4 slices of bacon, diced, fried until crisp and drained 1/2 C red wine vinaigrette Toss all ingredients together.
