Family History

Really old family pictures fascinate me. The people in them are mysteries. What were they like? Where did they live? What adventures did they have in their lifetimes? I'm lucky to have some very old ones.

The couple in the first picture are my Great-great Granparents James Henry and Flora Elinor with their son Vess. Vess is such an unusual name. The next picture is Vess and Great-grandma Ethel. Even the children looked so solemn in these old pictures.

This is Great-grandma Ethel at 16 and Great-grandpa Charles Levi. This is the only picture we have of Grandpa. Grandma kept it in her wallet for 70 years.

I love this picture. This is Grandpa Floyd, Grandma Mary and my mother Verna. It's so 20's. Mama and Grandpa both had bright red hair. Mom looks a little bald in this picture tho.

These pictures were taken while my mom and dad were on their honeymoon visiting his parents Grandpa Rufus and my other Grandma Mary. This is mom and dad. The pics are nice but I really wish I had those cars.

This is one of my favorite pictures of my son Donald flying his first kite. Of course he doesn't quite look like that now. He's a bit taller and has a little more hair for one.
