Okay, where to start...

At the start I suppose...born 03/09/1970 in the district of Southland, New Zealand.

Interests and Hobbies Computers (naturally), Technology, Cars, Books, Travel, Music and Gardens. Gardens???
Yup. Gardens (see below). Oh, and related to this, one of my favourite hobbies involves playing about with an old 15 ton hitachi hydraulic excavator...ok, so I'm a real weirdo but its fun. Don't knock what you haven't tried; okay? ;-)

Computers I've written software for an Acorn RISC PC computer. In a world dominated by PC clones Acorns are very different. For a start, they use an ARM processor and run RISC OS. Not Windows or MacOS. Anyone who is inclined to sneer (or say 'Whats an Acorn?') should note that I also have a fairly modern PC - and I still prefer using the Acorn for most jobs.
My Hardware setup is available for those sad individuals who are interested in such things.

Cars I don't spend nearly enough time driving this. Travelling quickly isn't as much fun as it used to be though. Could it be that I'm just getting old?
Oh dear. :-(

Books Among the authors I enjoy are Douglas Adams, Heinlein, Arthur C Clarke, Isaac Asimov, Greg Bear, David Brin, Ben Bova, Alan Dean Foster and Iain M. Banks. Spot the common theme? ;-)

Travel Actually a bit inaccurate as I find the getting from A-to-B part of travel a bit of a drag. Still, I've managed to get around a little bit. Nothing very adventurous though you'll notice. :-)

Music I enjoy a variety of styles. Including: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Sting (thanks to vjb), Eric Clapton, Mike Oldfield, Vangelis, Enya, The Beautiful South and even some Classical.

Gardens Blame it on my upbringing but I gained a serious interest in plants, trees and gardening while still on the insane side of 30 and it gets worse as you get older and even more boring. Sad, but true.
