The Autumn World

Also known as the Land of Unfulfilled Dreams, the Waking World, the mortal realm, A.K.A. Dullsville; Whatever you call it, most of the Changelings dislike it. It's seemingly drab compared to the Enchanted lands that are their birthright.

Still, some Banality is needed by Changelings and Kinain(even if it sounds heretical to admit it) to keep Bedlam from striking or prevent being Dreamstruck. What's more, to the Viscount's way of thinking, this is where the battle for Spring maybe won or lost. Dreamers are rare, but almost every mortal is a potential Dreamer if mused carefully. Cynics might argue the odds are hardly favorable in this place where "Happy Endings" are but faded shadows.

Monterey is the nearest City, a place that seems obsessed with the Ocean despite it's rocky shores. In the World of Darkness, the city is an odd mix of tacky and hopeful. There is a definite feeling of the haves and the have nots here... Golden boys sailing their yachts seem unaware that further inland, empty eyed women await with shaking hands the next fix from their Pimps/dealers. True works of heart are sold side by side with overpriced trinkets at the 'tourist traps' and one is often confused for the other.

Places of Note in the Autumn World that might be visited include:

* "Echoes and Eggrolls", a Karokee bar and grill that specializes in Chinese food, but can also make a fairly decent burger if called upon. Folks screw up their courage and step up to the Mic, and good or bad, usually a good time is had by all.

* Various markets or Vendors that sell everything from T-shirts to little plastic Conchs, or perhaps for something more official, the Double Tree Mall?

* "The Monterey Bay Aquarium", which, besides holding fascination for lovers of Aquatic life everywhere, still is rumored to have some 'Spock' Chimera from when they filmed Star Trek IV.

* Slums, Dives, and other unsavory or lost parts of the city. The few souls that dare to hold candles in this part of the World of Darkness are constantly in danger of being snuffed.

It's too cold here...
