To mortal eyes this ride is faded, old, and in bad need of repair. Even clambering into it doesn't seem possible as the walkway to be seated is missing. To fae eyes, this is a ship, a grand and glorious Dutch style Clipper (English Clippers are so overdone after all), that merely awaits a sea, stars to sail by, a good captain's hand, and, of course, a pinch of pixie dust.. or at least Glamour. The wood is of the finest quality, the sails strong white silk, the flag of Ardent Harbor waves atop it, and a chimerical gangplank helps those who would board. In some bizare fashion, there is a trod link here, from as far off as the shores of the Isle of Man. When others visit via that, the Dutchman shifs into the Near Dreaming, and the ship they used takes it's place. Oddly, the unenchanted never seem to notice even that. The Ship may also have some innate ability, once put to sea, to enter the Near Dreaming as if creating it's own Rath. Irene swears that the Nocker who made it was a genius, and won't hear any suggestion that some less talented kith might have had a hand in it's construction. Surely more secrets await discovery in the testing of this marvelous vessel. |
Quintomar | One can indeed take this ship to Quintomar. However, this is not done lightly, as delicate negotions are underway with the very traditional land with some odd quirks. Quintomar has it's own rules, a place where ladies do not wear blades, and the truest weapon is a razor smile, and a carefully placed word in the right person's pointed ear. |
Shimmering Surface | Yet another twist to the Atlantic, this area's exact location is unknown. The Mer claim to rule here, and rumor has it, one isle Freehold, founded by childlings, now rises proudly among the mists. |
OOC Note: As you probably already know, but it bears repeating, other sites have different rules. I'm pretty lax here, but make sure you take a gander at the rules of any site you take a character to. Thanks.
