Please note that this program is not a GAME.DAT editor and
won't let you change the units' statistics. It's not a
mission editor either. It can be used to replace the old
C&C missions or add your own, but it it can't assist you
in editing them.
You can download it now.
This version is the same as version 3.5. The only difference is that this version won't crash on fast computers (Pentium II or faster) any more. The problem was due to a bug in the Turbo Pascal runtime libraries, and has been fixed by recompiling the program with the updated libraries.
This version completely replaces version 3.1, the C&C Gold update and
the 3.17 update.
About future versions :
There will not be any future version of Mix Manager. I simply don't have time
to work on it anymore. I will probably make some other utilities or editors
in the future, but I won't be working on Mix Manager.
Many people have been asking for a new version of Mix Manager that supports
Red Alert.
As I said above there won't be any future versions of Mix Manager, so
there will not be any support for Red Alert.
There are now other utilities that support Red Alert and it's data disks.
I suggest that you check out
Moritz Mertinkat's RA-MIXer. It supports both Red Alert and
Command & Conquer.
You should be able to get RA-MIXer from his
Tesla Coil site.
I don't provide support for Mix Manager anymore.
If you're really stuck, you can try sending me an e-mail, but I can't
guarantee that I will answer. Before doing so, be sure to read the
included documentation carefully !
However, I will try to answer technical questions about C&C files.
This pair of utilities will let you convert AUD files to WAV format and
vice versa.
Use Mix Manager to extract the AUD files from the MIX files, and to replace
them with new ones. You can also put the AUD files in the C&C directory if
you know the right names (shown in Mix Manager).
Here's the version 1.2. It fixes the "pop" sound problem in the WAV2AUD program.
The audwav12.zip archive contains :
My Mix Manager program has also been known as Mixman in the past.
Mixman, however is a registered trademark of
Mixman Technologies, Inc..
That's why only it's full name Mix Manager will be used from now on.
If you have, or are planning to put a link to my page on your own web page,
please use the name Mix Manager and not Mixman. Thanks.
For any questions or comments you can send me an
e-mail
