My Inspiration My Buddies My Love The Girls In My Life My Photo Album |
MY FRIENDS Well before going into friends I must say that I am not only lucky to have such nice friends but I also feel honored to have them. The essence of our friendship lies in the golden days we have had together. I only wish that some how that day comes when all of us were in school and had a great time, some how all of us getting together in life, but this is life and one learns to accept it as it is. And guys I want all of you to know that I am there for you when ever you need me. MY BEST BUDDIES Well I have a lot of friends and it is
very difficult to rate them because all have been there for me when I needed
them, however there are a few with
Well the list goes like this Salman
Akbar
Well Salman has been a very old and trusted friend. We have had those wonder days together. Bunking classes, and going to cafeteria, having great time during the science exhibition in school. Well that was the time when we became good friends since class tenth though we have been together since class five. It was that year when we happened to be together for the science exhibition in our school together with Fuad Asif khan and Faraz Abedi. We did not know what to do so we roamed around and wasted time...as always. Then when we went to lyceum together, which was actually the time which strengthened our friendship to the maximum. Salman taught me checkers and table tennis and then I always beat him in those two games. Shanti left lyceum and did his A-levels privately, however we had always been very close, during tuition's of Augustine (Augi), going to friends places etc. Salman after A-levels went to England to study bachelor's of science in computer science and management from university of London, Royal Holloway College. He is a brilliant student, and thus proving his brilliance he achieved distinction and honors there. Though I have always told him to go to USA for higher education he always opted for England. Well this man is one hell of a pious dude, he is haji and a very devoted Muslim, and well I cannot elaborate that much further.... Currently Salman is doing Msc. in Finance from the great Imperial college, and I wish him luck in his future and hope that our friendship will always remain as it is, and he gets the girl of his dream in the romantic times of "Sunset" (-; But I would definitely like to say one thing, I have always been scared by the driving skills of this man, he actually taught me how to be scared to death when some else is driving, but I had my first ever driving accident in Salman's car.
Syed Rafi Haider Raza (24th July 1973) Well Rafi, also the guy who always played
the role of our father when all of us used to be full of mischief. Rafi
joined Habib in the ninth grade and we
Faraz Abedi (21st November 1973) This guy is a pal. We met in Habib in class ninth. As we have the same names, our roll numbers were always consecutive. Faraz is one hell of an altruistic fellow, infact when I was doing SATs I remembered the meaning of the word by associating it with him. Faraz is one dude who has never changed from what he has been the past eleven years since I have known him. He is so easy going that I have never come across anybody like him in life. I think his philosophy in life is easy does it, but my message to him is brother easy does not do it. After A-levels Rafi and I called him champion for being on "top" of everything. Well one thing I really admire is the driving skills of Abedi. I have not seen anyone driving so well as he did, secondly he has a great sense of humor. Faraz is in Norman, Oklahoma, doing nothing. He went there for education but has learnt a few other things, which he does. The odds of his replying people's mails are in million (hey honestly zero). I only wish is that some how this guy becomes sensible and starts utilizing his life, that is all I ever want from him.
Ali Haris (20th December 1974) Haris is a very good friend of mine.
I have known him since the last fifteen years. We were in the same class
and we even traveled back home in the same school bus, both mornings and
evenings (hey it was Habib School). After Habib school Haris did intermediate
while I did A-Levels, but we always remained in regular contact with each
other. After A-levels when I joined Greenwich Haris was already there and
because of him I managed to get some very good advice, which actually helped
me maintain my GPA in the first few semesters. Haris had always been there
for me, my myriad visits to his house for assignments, mails, IRC and simply
for nothing. After graduating Haris worked in switch kid for some time,
and then he went to California to do his MBA. He is still there and thanks
to him I am maintaining this home page.
Adnan Khurshid (13th October 1973) I met Adnan when I was in Habib, as Athar and I used to go to his place after the tuition of Raseed Khan. Then we were together in Lyceum. Adnan is a very down to earth person, very hard working and in my opinion a great fighter. I have always remained in touch with him ever since. We used to go for running on sea view. Adnan trained for squash and I to get fit. Adnan then left for USA, to Clemson University, where he completed his BS in textile engineering. He is again leaving for MS in textile hopefully to Georgia Tech.
Osman Ahmed Diwan 16th November 1976 I have known Osman since a very long
time, but last ten years I have known him well. He is my next door neighbor.
Osman and I have been very close, as we some what grew up together. We
played snooker and pool a lot and it is Osman who introduced me to the
other guys in neighborhood. Osman is crazy about adventures, girls, and
of course American vintage cars. He has three jeeps, a Chevy and a Chrysler
apart from his other cars. He knows a lot about cars and old machines.
A smooth guy around girls (see he is not a Habibian), Ozzi is going very
straight with his fiancée Sobia.
Saqib Rahman (18th November 1973) Saqib and I met in Habib School in class eighth. We were never that close, but I met him in Greenwich. And I can easily recall that I had a great time with Saqib. Well was him, Haris and Shoaib who actually encouraged me to do what I could never do. Saqib and I had some great time in courses like, Accounting 102, FIBA 204, industrial marketing for which I really blamed him for getting me into, and then later on thanked him greatly, and cost accounting). Though Saqib is very sensible but our friendship on my part has this great thing... " I rarely believe what he says". Saqib is more of a creative person. My advice to him has always been that the better line for him is arts and painting. He has a great talent for that (he is a genous with it comes ot abstract themes). Apart from that Saqib is really very slow in most of the things, you go to a restaurant with him and you can eat your food, or even drink cups ( kettles) of tea and this would not have finished anything by then. He has another talent, you will never find him at his place late evenings, he is a vagabound. But he is actually very fast when it comes to going into the water. Whenever we go to beaches, during picnics, we are always the first ones toenter the water (well you can call us crazy, but some how Saqib wins from,) He is a good swimmer too and always beats me when we swim. I have had a great time in greenwich with Saqib, and hope we remains best of friends even though I always take word for granted.
Athar Amin Khan (21st September 1974) Athar has been a very close friend of mine since the last eleven years. We were together in school, and then together in the tuitions of A-Levels. Athar is doing BS in electrical, computer and computer science from IIT. Athar has always been very hardworking and smart. We are still in contact with each other but because he is doing so many things at the same time, we don't communicate that frequently.
Shoaib and I met in Greenwich, when I was doing MATHS 101. I helped him out with a few problems and that was it we became friends. As time passed we have become quite good friends. My irony with Shoaib was that I did not listen to one of his advises pertaining to an anonymous lady, in college. Shoaib has graduated from Greenwich and is now working in an advertising firm. The thing which I really admire about Shoaib is the fact that this guy has taste (even in friendship ) whether it is music, poetry, books, clothes, accessories etc Shoaib is a "real Shuoqeen". Shoaib was there for me during an emotional phase, which I had gone through recently. What ever he predicted came true and he blames me for my misfortune and he has my full consent. These days Shoaib comes to my house once or twice a week. We talk on diverse issues such as religion, poetry, arts, books, music, future and of course the anonymous lady.
Rizwan Haider (23rd September 1973) Rizwan was with me in Habib. I know him since class eighth that is around twelve years. Rizwan is really a very nice guy. He is doing his medicine from KMDC and will soon be a doctor. This guy is very honest and a great cricketer. A very good friend who has always invited us on the KMDC functions and concerts etc.
Fareed has been with me since the last
fourteen years. This guy was the dada of the class. He was the one who
had always been the supplier of all the kinky stuff to all of us in school.
He is a real genius with crime and can be a perfect character for a gangster
movie. Famous for his passion to be Tyson in school, this could never stay
in school during full days. These days Fareed has developed a craze for
computers and emails things like anything. He is also very adventurous
and travels a lot. Even I have been with him during our trips to the beach
at nights. Apart from that this guy really knows how to party. He is very
smart.
Imran has been there with me since class
three. He is a sub-lieutenant in the Navy. I always tease him for wearing
white shoes all his life. Imran too has a great taste for things. He likes
poetry and specially Bahadur Shah Zafar, and whenever we meet I always
make him recite one for me. This is a Nazm of
Zayan Shah (13th October 1975) Well this guy is really a character. Notorious for his chorian (bragging), he is a good friend of mine since the last thirteen years. I don't know what to call him, but he name was Roman, which got changed to Roomi and then finally he is Zayan Shah. Roomi always had this fascination to be Arnold. He was the first guy whom I have ever abused. He is a good friend of mine. And has just gotten married, why that I don't know. Roomi and I had a great time together and we have been great buddies ever since.
