Meeting Schedule

Location: Main CHUH Public Library, 2345 Lee Road, two lights and one block south of Cedar Road

October 12, (2nd Thursday), 7 - 9 p.m., HTML basics including tables. We build a basic Web page in the simplist way possible. Our Web Authoring Program: MS Notepad; Page Viewing Program: Netscape 4.7; plus illustration of how several Web page building functions shown in Notepad, are accessed through an inexpensive and powerful Web page authoring program: Adobe GoLive 5.0. To publish our new site, a File Transfer Protocol program is needed. Two examples are given, 1) WS_FTP and the 2) Web site maintenance interface at Yahoo/Geocities. Yahoo/Geocities has generously given space on it's Web severs for the GCPCUG Web SIG site: http://geocities.datacellar.net/gcpcug_web_sig.

Because of the library computer/network configuration, we will not be able to "FTP" our new Web page to a Web server on the Internet.

November 9, (2nd Thursday), 7 - 9 p.m., Graphics for your Web site. Paint Shop Pro 5.0 or 6.0, (Jasc Software). depending on what's working on the computer.
