I remember....when I first visited this place..I was in a state of ..I don't know what!!
The air was salty and wind was cool...it was in the month of December
1989.
I was one of those many who came to the Andhra University campus to
join post-graduate courses... and every one must have felt flying
butterflies in their stomach after getting down in the South Eastern
Railway station of Visakhapatnam.
It was
just a matter of few weeks and ... lo.. we made a big gang of friends
which include cute and intelligent girls ...shrewd and determined boys
and
dreamers like me and many more......
All of
us shared a vision... a dream... a mission.. to become someone who
would be remembered even after a decade after we part from the
University....someone whose name is taken with pride by friends and
whose memories are a pleasure to recollect... and much more...
Yeah...
we fought amongst ourselves...for petty reasons, over girl
friends...fought for books... for not getting help from each other...
cursed each other... some
times hated each other...
But even before we could realize..the course was over and the day has
arrived which made us part from one another...
Then we realized what it would make one feel when getting parted from a
trusted companion. some have parted forever and some ..inspite of being
physically near...parted from us psychologically and ...some make us
feel like strangers whenever we meet for-what-ever-reason!!
There are some...still so close to heart just as they used to be...and
inspite of being so far..they are so near ...just a call away..over
phone ofcourse!!
My love to all of them.. those who forgot us...those who pretend to
have forgotten us...those who love us ...and try to relive all those
beautiful days again!!
Inspite of being frustrating and taxing many times.. stay at vizag has
done a lot of good ... given good memories ... which can be stored and
cherished for a life time....
There were many moments of fun frolic and hip around us and we had our share of beautiful moments and anxious times as well.
Many cakes and Samosas at AU Outgate, many Chai's at RK beach road canteen, many MakkaButtas at RK beach and many visits to Ladies Hostels ...
Exchanging Stenciled Notes, experiments in Electronics lab, Nice and friendly Office staff, kind/funny/good/bad faculty ... one way romances and many more things coupled with few piknics and some exam reschedules make our story of M.Sc.
The memories of all those trips to good places..staying in RK beach
till late at night...Daspalla hotel and Dolphin nook.. Jagadamba cinema
and AU out
gate... so many memories...so cute and beautiful..
All those falling in- and - out of love episodes....busy waitings at
ladies hostel for a fleeting glimpse of few girls...how beautiful it
was !!
Our batch of 89 M.Sc. physics in Andhra University has an uniqueness which for a long time could not be matched by any other batches for a long time !!
We were dreamers .. and are dreamers even now !!! I think only our batch has students we qualified in CSIR-UGC JRF exam in many years before and after us
(I need to verify this with the Registrar of A.U. But I still think this statement is true !!)
Well ... its a looooooong introduction !!!
Now it
is time for some Photographs
