Childhood Days:
First, some history. I grow up in Puzhal, Chennai. I stayed in a big bungalow type house built in 1948. We are very big family,
consisting of sons/grandsons of my grandfather(first floor) and family of my grandfathers elder brother(ground floor).
There were lots of kids around. We play cricket most of the time. I am not an allrounder. I bat very well and
i scored very good runs. Once we all went out and played with a team outside and lost. I still can remeber, the
last run I took in that match..good memories.
And there comes a fight:
Till my Xth Standard things where so good, we where all together and then came a fight between by grandfather
and his brother which splitted both our families. After that, there was not a big enjoyment between the families.
Funny part is, even I was involved in those fights. Big guys will have argument with other big guys and
childrens like us where involved in fights in their own way. Sometimes, I do think that our family story
can be made into a good tamil movie, because it has all kinds of cinematic stuffs...
Wanna know what i did?
After those fight between family, we had lot of problems like sharing water, rooms...etc. So, if there is any
problem like that guys from ground floor will take our electric fuse from main switch box and demand something.
What I do is, go and take their fuse and will not give it back until they put back our fuse.
Cause/Outcome of fight:
Most of the fight occured because of the elder people in that family and they ask their kids to do something like this.
This resulted in serious split between both the family. By this time, I was doing my XII grade and had lot of impact
on my studies. And ofcourse, spoiled our childhood life. Somehow, I got my engineering seat and did my first year from that house.
Our New House:
My father bought a new house in 1991 in Korattur, Chennai. We all (my parents, brother and myself) moved to
that house. Rest of the family like my father's brothers, grandfather where all staying there. Our house was so
good and i liked that place very much. Its much nearer to city limit and also very few kms from my college. |

I studied in St. Mary's Matriculation High School, Redhills, Chennai from Std I to Std XII.
I was scoring like first five ranks and scored high marks in maths. I took computer science in XI Std, which
has helped me to gain some basic computer knowledge.
Acheivements: I scored school first in maths in X standard. I was very thankful to my maths teacher who
helped me a lot. She used to encourage me by putting high marks in all mid-term tests.
Another thing is, I did a project in XI std for a Inter-School Expo. I got this chance only because of maths score
i got in X std. I was so afraid to do that and even asked my teacher to remove my name. But they where so stubben,
and encouraged me to do the project. It came out very well and my school principal personally appreciated me for my work.
Things I wont forget:
I was so rude in my early days such that I was involved in lots of fights with my class mates.
One time when i was in Vth std, there was big argument with my friend in a school bus, and I dont know what went into my mind,
I cut my friends shoulder with a blade. That chap, was living near to my house. And his parents and
relatives came to our house and started shouting. I was watching all this near a window. My family members
supported me and i was saved.
Another time, in my lab in 10th Std when I was doing some work, I was supposed to take dilute sulphuric acid using a straw
like pippet and I have to pour into another vessel. Instead of taking dilute one, I took concentrated and I
sipped it into my mouth. OOh man. It was burning like anything. Teachers who where there didnt realize that and asked
me to goggle some water. Finally, I told them and then they took me to hospital and had treatment. My lips we
almost 3-4 times bigger and I suffered a lot...
Till now, I cant forgot this day. This happen when our school principal was issuing certificates for all students
who got school first in any category. When my name was called, you know where I was standing?...in the entrance gate. I was late
on that day, I was holding that gate and arguing with watchman to allow me inside. I was so sad, that I am not
able to get that certificate in front our school crowd.
When I got my maths question paper for XII public exam, I was so happy that I knew all the answers. This backfired me,
that when answered the first question, I was over confident and made lot of mistakes and wasted lot of time. I was
aiming for centum but finally came up with only 180/200. I still can remember my maths teacher comments, who was so
confident on me....
Another time, we were in our computer room and started playing with Cease Fire(used to control fire). We where spraying
on each others and end-up finishing it. Then we realised, we will get punished if our computer master if he comes to know
about it. You know what I did?. I silently went into pricipal room and exchanged it...no one found. I was so tensed but
some how managed to enter into principal room...
Favourite Teachers: Mr.Narayanan(Tamil), Mrs.Sathyakumari(English), Mr.Madhavan(Computer Science).

I did my B.E.(Computer Science) in Dr. M.G.R Engineering College, Maduravoil, Chennai
Acheivements: I scored centum in maths on my 6th semester and scored first mark in another semester.
The project work(Atlas Map) we did for final semester, is really an eye-catcher for every one. And really happy
that this project was one among the good projects in our class.
Things I wont forget:
Our college trip to bangalore, Ooty was great. We saw lot of places and enjoyed a lot roaming around with
my friends. There was another industrial tour and while coming back we went to marina beach. We had lot of fun
there. I lost one of my shoe and you can see a picture, when i was searching that....
Our first presentation about our project in front of our HOD and whole class. We prepared lot for that,
and did a impressive presentation. Three of us gave that presentation, so one guy stops mean another guy will
continue. And all 3 of us did a good job.
One fine day, our principal suddenly entered into our class room and caught 3 peoples in the last bench for
making noise and asked them to wait in his room. We where all standing at that time and he came near me and saw
that I didnt tuck-in my shirt.(There was a rule that every one has to tuck-in their shirst inside college campus)
He asked me to stand along with those 3 guys. Funny part is, when he came to us, he started shouting all four of us and
said that I was also involved in making noise in class. I pleaded to him(almost crying), that I didnt do anything
like that. But he didnt listen to me and suspended me for 2 days. My parents where called, and they supported me
that I wont do stuffs like that. But principal didnt agree and kept scolding about me to my mother. He asked me to stand
outside and told some advice to my mother...Till now, whenever I see principal, I feel so angry for punishing
me for the thing I didnt do...

Music: I like to listen to music in most of my spare time. It keeps me in good mood all the time. Thats why I
bought a home theatre system, even its expensive, and listen to my favourite songs loudly. Back home, I have a
habbit of putting full sound and stand outside my house to listen....it makes me feel like the whole house is
singing for me....music madness?????
Illayaraaja, known as "RaagaDevan"(God of Raagas), "Isaignani"(Music Genius) is one of the best film music directors, India has produced.
In India, I would say that Illayaraaja is the only music director , who can give life to cinema with his soothing background scores.
Illayaraaja a milestone in music, who born in a land where false always wins and people found not to be proud to as this man represent
this country. I always use to think what would have happen if he his born in west where very small achivements is highly appreciated.
I am really proud to say, that I come from the same state, Tamil Nadu, in India , as this music genius- 'Isaignani" Illayaraaja.
Movie: I love to watch movies in tamil and english. Atleast I am watching 1 or 2 tamil movie and 3 english movies
per week. I know its lot. But, thats the only way to spend my time. My favourite directors in tamil film industry
are K.Balachander, Balu Mahendra, BharathiRaaja in older times. Recently, Shankar is doing an extraordinary job and then
its Maniratnam. Other than these guys, some new directors are also doing very well. I think, tamil film indutry is much
better nowadays by making some meaningful movies, than it was before.
Madras(Chennai): I love this city. Even after being to other countries, I prefer to live here. I know, its crowded,
pollution, water problem etc. But still, you can see there is a wonderful life in there. I like to go in bus
by sitting in the window seat and enjoy watching the city life. I used to travel from Korattur to T.Nagar to my office,
which takes almost 1 hour. Till now, I didnt feel it as long drive because, I like to watch city, expression of people.
Each day, you can find different kind of people with different moods. Sometimes, people react strangely for even simple things,
which is quite interesting to watch. Whatever you want, either traditional things or latest trends, one can find
here. These kind of double-sided enjoyment you wont get in any other places/cities.
