Arnold
Sando and Alice Dowdy were married in 1918 on his return from World War I. They moved to the Riverland region of South Australia in 1920 as part of a
soldier settlers scheme and established a fruit property at Monash.
Descendents of Arnold and Alice still live in the Riverland over eighty
years later.
