One thing to note is that the file you want to rename must contain the artist's name and the song name. 

Example: 03_alan-PARSONS_project-eye_in_the_sky.mp3 can be renamed using EZ MP3 Renamer to (Alan Parsons Project) Eye In The Sky.mp3

How To Rename A File

Once you're in the folder that contains the files that you want to rename, do the following:

1. Select the file(s) you want to rename.
2. Click Preview.
3. You'll then be asked how many words there are in the artists/groups name. This is so that the parentheses can be wrapped around the artists/groups name. If you decide not to rename a certain file you should click Cancel when prompted to enter the number of words in the artists/groups name. This will add the work Empty to the preview list ensuring that this file will not be renamed.
4. You must now SELECT the file(s) you want to rename and click Rename. Files that you do NOT select will not be renamed. If you want to cancel the whole process just click Clear. Return to top

Editing ID3 Tags

This program only can only edit ID3v1 tags, not ID3v2 tags. They can coexist. 

1. Select the file(s) that need ID3 tag editing.
2. While the files are selected, right-click in the file list and from the popup menu select Edit ID3 Tags. You could also select Edit ID3 Tags by clicking ID3 Tag from the file menu.
3. If you want to stop cycling through the files just click Cancel in the ID3 Tag window. Return to top

Automatically Adding ID3 Tags

Only files that have already been renamed by EZ MP3 Renamer can have ID3 tags added automatically.

1. Select file(s) you want auto-tagged.
2. While the files are selected, right-click in the file list and from the popup menu select Auto Add ID3 Tags. You could also select Auto Add ID3 Tags by clicking ID3 Tag from the file menu.
