About the TI-85
The TI-85 graphing calculator is TI's most versatile hand-held calculator, due to its programming strength
(both in TI-BASIC and assembly) and advanced features such as conversions and equation solver.
A few things you need if you don't already have them.
Games
TI-BASIC programs
Space Station Defender 2.3 - aliens try to take over your space station and your mission is to destroy the invading ships.
ZSHELL programs
Perversi 1.0 - a game remarkably like Othello, was recently completed. It features three
levels of computer skill, 16 possible game setups, two board views, an intelligent cursor that
changes over a spot you can move on, piece animations that help you see how the board changes,
and a save/restore.
Math and/or Science Programs
TI-BASIC programs
Simplifying Quadratics - a program for simplifying quadratic
equations to either a decimal approximation or to a radical form (it doesn't simplify the latter all the way).
Prime Factorization - a program that gives you the prime factorization of a
number. The prime factorization of 1584 (which is 2^4*3^2*11) would appear like this '{(2,4) (3,2) (11,1)}'
