The recently released QT3 Xtra (bundled with Director 6.5+) adds support for QTVR 2.0 movies. This Xtra also makes it possible to link to QTVR movies from within Shockwave Director movies

The older QTVR 1.0 Xtra works with Director 5.0 upwards and is compatible with QTVR 1.0 movies

Version 2 of the QuickTime plugin is a component of QuickTime 3. This version offers increased support for QTVR in the form of hotspot frame targetting

Previously such targetting had to be accomplished using JavaScript. JavaScript can also be used to create add extra interactivity to web pages containing QTVR media
