Errors (From the MS Site)
Adding your Internet Service Provider in Windows 2000!
- Start, Settings, Network and Dial-Up Settings, double-click on Make a New
Connection, press Next
- Select the second one 'Dial-Up to the internet' and press Next
- Select the Last (3rd) option, 'I want to setup my internet connection
manually..' and press Next.
- Connect using a Modem, and Next again
- Select your Modem (if you have more then one), and that nice Next button
again
- Enter the Access Number, and if you need to put in DNS#s, Click on
Advance, then Addresses. Select Always use the Following (for DNS of course)
and then Enter the Primary/Alternate DNS servers. If you didn't need to do
that, then just press Next
- Enter the Username/Password for your account, Save password is a good
thing to Have checked (if you don't like entering passwords, or have a very
large password, then press Next
- Enter the name of your Internet Service Provider (so you know what it is)
and press Next
- If you want to continue, and set up your E-Mail Great! if not, then don't!
and press Next; once you press next it will show 'connect to the internet immediately
after clicking on finish', if you want to connect now, then have that
checked, if not, then don't of course, and click on Finish! you're all done!
