Deer park is surely one of the most beautiful settings for a Golf Course anywhere on Earth, with a Castle, views of Dublin Bay, and over 2000 Rhodedendron bushes liberally sprinkled around the grounds! The golf is somewhat disorganised however and tee times should be re-checked daily. There also appears to be a community of "New Age Travellers" traipsing around the course which can be somewhat disconcerting for first time visitors.

Dan certainly showed a clean pair of heels on the final day and although a few stragglers got in his way from time to time, he kept a cool head and in the end was a deserving winner! All in all Year 2000 was a very good golfing experience. |
