MooVer, an easy-to-use shareware Macintosh (Classic) drag and drop utility that can convert PICT, PICS, and sound files to QuickTime movies.

Blob Sculptor Mac Icon

Blob Sculptor for Mac OS 8 is a simple freeware 3-D CAD modeller for designing metaball/blob objects. It can export its 3-D shapes to DXF, 3DMF/QuickDraw3D, POV-Ray, Polyray, or RAW format files.

SPD For MacOS

MacSPD is a suite of public domain(!) software that auto-generate complex raytracer scenes, useful for benchmarking raytracers on different computers, or against other ray tracers. Can output to POV-Ray, RTrace, DXF, QuickDraw3D/3DMF, VRML 2, NFF, Wavefront OBJ, Raw, Renderman RIB, etc. Includes complete C source code for making your own generators. Also includes readers for DXF, NFF, and OBJ files, which can then convert them to any of the other above file formats, or write your own 3D file format converter! Compiled as Classic MacOS 8 apps.

Eduard Schwan published a book/CD-ROM about POV-Ray through Waite Group Press (now Macmillan) called Ray Tracing for the Macintosh CD (ISBN 1-878739-72-7). It is now out of print, but you may still be able to find it here and there.
