After relocating back to the UK with my work, I went car shopping again. What else could I possibly buy but another S-Type? So, I am now the proud owner of a 2001 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 V6 SE. Her name is Saffy and she is
Sapphire Blue with Almond/Warm Charcoal sports leather interior, DSC, CATS, 17" 10 spokes, headlamp powerwash, heated seats/windscreen, mud guards, CD changer, GSM phone, auto wipers, electrochromic mirror, power foldback mirrors, reverse park control, memory, body side mouldings, sun roof. I plan to upgrade the speakers in the near future.
Opposite is a picture of me with our latest addition to the family! I've had an S-Type for a little while now and and driven in a wide range of conditions. I have made some Observations about the S-Type based on my experience with the car. |

For many years, I had promised myself that I
would have a Jaguar (my long time dream car) by the time
I am 30 years old. Well, when I was 30
I took delivery of my new car making my dream come true
and me a very proud man! I became the proud owner of a brand new 2000 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 V6 Executive (the 'Executive' is similar to the British 'SE' with winter pack - useful in Finland where I was living then). The car was Carnival Red with Almond/Mink leather interior, leaping cat on the bonnet (legal in Finland!), premium audio system with CD changer, reverse parking proximity sensors. Opposite is a picture of me with our first addition to the family! I really fell in love with this car, Jackie was her name and she was my first automotive love. |

I recently got married to my long time Fiancee Lynne
in my home town in England. When we were deciding what
kind of wedding car we wanted there was of course only
one choice as far as I was concerned! I was thrilled when my uncle agreed to drive us in one of his classic Jaguars. He didn't allow us to see the car until the day of the wedding and we were both stunned when we saw it. We travelled in real style in a beautiful Jaguar 420 of 1967 vintage. The car was absolutely gleaming and in such spectacular condition it looked as if it had just been driven out of the showroom. Cheers Alan, you made our day! |
So far I have only been able to attend one event and that was for British cars in general and not specifically Jaguars. The event was held in Fiskars, Finland, home of the famous company of the same name. Jaguar were quite well represented there and I took some nice photographs.
I recently had the opportunity to view the new Jaguar X-Type and I took some photographs.
