This is the Linux page.
Linux is a flavor of Unix, just like IRIX, Solaris, HP-UX, BSD, SCO,
and the others. The difference between the flavors of unix that are mentioned
above and linux is that Linux is free (well, if you want it on a CD you
have to pay for it). Also, you can edit the source code so the OS will
operate the way you want it to. Many people think that since it is free,
Linux is no good . But that is wrong. I originally made these web pages
on a Linux box, for a computer class I took. In fact the whole CS department
is filled with Linux boxes. Also, Linux has been pushed to the limits.
Linux has served as an OS for super computers, it is the OS for a few computers
that host web sites, Linux has also has help make a motion picture, and
