"Battleship, Ahoy!"

Three British educationists from Birmingham who were on route to Australia paid a 2.5 hour visit to Xinmin Primary School with the message: "Battleship ahoy!" They told us that a British ship coming Singapore's way on route to the Far East was part of the email and webpage project involving some primary schools in the UK and asked whether we would like to take part.

Needless to say, we agreed to be part of this exciting Social Studies project in which our pupils will email to the people on board the ship as well to their counterparts in the British primary schools.

During their visits, the educationists checked out our IT configurations, our infrastructure and our educational strategies in the use of IT as a tool for learning.

We exchanged notes on IT implementation and checked out one another's website.

***>   BTW, the three educationists were:
Mr M Tennant - Deputy Head Teacher of Selly Park Technology College for Girls.

Mr David Broadfield - Head Teacher of Robin Hood J.I.(NC) School.

Mr Doug Brown - Adviser, Technology & IT, Education Department, Birmingham City Council

One of the sites we checked out came from Mr Broadfield's school back in Birmingham. Click here to find out.
