He displayed exemplary courage and leadership even in his last moments. For the gallantry displayed by him he was awarded Shaurya Chakra posthomously. Late Mohan Gangadhar did BE in Civil Engineering at KREC. His batchmates (KREC 1984 Batch) have taken intiative to express their solidarity with MAJ MOHAN GANGADHARAN'S family & have a suitable memorial for him at KREC. The first Global Meet was held on 26th & 27th of December 1998 (Saturday & Sunday) at the KREC Silver Jubilee Auditorium (KREC Campus, next to post office), Sreenivasanagar(Surathkal). Many from the 60s & 70s batch had turned up! All the past principals had graced the occasion. Next GLOBAL MEET will be in the last weekend of December 2001. So plan for it now!!!!!!!!!!!
