A site describing the role and functions of the ministry and to educate people on the various opportunities in the armed forces. Emphasis has been given on the identity of the web site and navigational control.
National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO)

The aim of this project is to inform people about the functions and activities of NACO, which is the most successful AIDS control organisation in the world, and to educate people about the causes and precautions of AIDS. An extensive structure was worked out and design was completed. The site is still evolving with lots of changes and updations.

This was a very large project on the various aspects of Jammu and Kashmir, including the culture and lifestyle of people and tourist destinations. The site is a colourful one with lots of photographs and information.

Project I	Design of hand held device - Cellular phone. Design of phone which is ergonomic, easy to hold and sleek in form. The form of phone easily fits in the palm and it can be operable by single hand. The curvy-linear form is based on Japanese design style. Stage: Mock -up.

Project II	Design of Driver Reflexes Testing System (Sponsored by Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, Chandigarh) Total system design of the instrument so that it can be easily fitted in to the dash board of an Ambassador car. Design of user-interface & organisation of the control panel, internal organisation, ergonomics, portability and modularity of various units. Stage : Mock - up.

Project III	Design in Aluminium extrusions - Sliding door bolts and tower bolts.(Sponsored by HINDALCO) Improvement of aesthetics and safety of the door bolts. No exposed screws on the surface of the door bolt. Simplification in the process of locking mechanism. Easy to fix the bolt to the door. Reduction in cost & time of production; and reduction in post-extrusion machining functions. Stage : Prototype

Project IV	Design of room air-cooler in corrosion-resistive materials. To prolong the life of cooler by using a combination of aluminium and plastics. The form is rectangular in elevation, and semi-circular in plan. Enhancing the cooling capacity of the cooler by increasing the surface area of cooling. Improvement in the aesthetics and functionality. Enhancing safety of the cooler by designing body in four interlocking parts. Provision of an additional water inlet to avoid the opening of panels of the cooler. Stage : Prototype

Redesign of postal equipment. Design of a brochure as a tourist guide. Design of letter head. Graphic design and layout of a newsletter. Advertisements for door bolts and tower bolts. Study of Pro-Engineer and Topas (solid modelling).

Major project	Design of a tourist complex - Madhopur. Site analysis - as slope analysis, visual analysis and feasibility analysis done. A sample public opinion survey of 150 tourists and traffic volume survey over a period of three days carried out. Designing done on the basis of principles and techniques of Site Planning and Landscaping. Different plans prepared covering an area of 250 acres.

Other projects	Prepared Regional Plan for block Khadur Sahib, district Amritsar (Punjab), after surveying the block. Prepared town development plan of Malerkotla near Ludhiana (Punjab) after completing its study. Also prepared its zoning plan. Planned and designed district centre - Bhagtanwala Gate area near walled city, Amritsar (Punjab), after studying the site. Prepared neighbourhood and cluster plan for sector 87, Amritsar (Punjab). Prepared redevelopment plan for locality - Gali Jail Wali, Hall Bazaar, Amritsar (Punjab), after surveying the whole locality. Prepared three dimensional models of tourist site, district centre, cluster, contoured site & a house.

1997	Designed cover page of yearbook for Nilgiri hostel, IIT Delhi. Designed M. Des. Design degree show exhibition at IIT Delhi. Designed IIT stall at the 12th India Engineering Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan. Designed Nilgiri hostel stall for Board of Hostel management, IIT Delhi.
1996	Started & edited five issues of Nilgiri hostel monthly newsletter "Nildesperandum" at IIT Delhi. Designed Nilgiri hostel stall for Board of Hostel management, IIT Delhi.
1995	Asst. Editor of "Fest Flash", a daily Newsletter published by G.N.D.University, Amritsar, during North Zone inter-university Youth Festival from 2nd to 6th January'95. Designed the layout of the newsletter. Executed the printing of 600 copies of every issue of 8 pages. Prepared the cover design, layout & graphics of Placement Brochure for School of Planning, G.N.D.University, Amritsar. Co-designer of the title cover of placement brochure for deptt. of Commerce & Business Management, G.N.D.University, Amritsar. Designed the logo for STUPA ( Association of Planning Students), School of Planning, G.N.D.University, Amritsar.

1996	Member of the Nilgiri hostel "House working committee". Represented the hostel M. Tech. students.
1995	Second position in "Collage Making" competition in Punjab State inter-university Youth Festival at Patiala, organised by D.P.l. (Colleges) Chandigarh (Twice in 1995 & in 1994).
1994	Participated in the IX th International Convention of SPIC - MACAY at Dehradun. Second & first position in "Collage Making" competition in Amritsar University Youth Festival (final) at Amritsar (Twice in 1994 & in 1992). First position in "Cartoon making" competition held by Deptt. of Commerce and Business Management in G.N.D.University, Amritsar.
1993	First & second position in "Pencil sketching " competition in G.N.D.University exhibition , held on University Foundation Day (Twice in 1993 & in 1992) First position in "Poster Making" & "Collage making" competition in inter- college Youth Festival (boys) at Jalandhar. (Thrice in 1993, in 1992 and in 1991). Second position in "Poster making" competition in JASHAN - 93, the inter-departmental annual function, G.N.D.University, Amritsar.
