Movie Sets

Some sets are made with such care that they look like real buildings. These sets however, will only be used for a few days of filming. Pinewood's 007 stage is the largest in the world. Many huge sets have been built there though it was first used for the James Bond movies.

When building a set would be too expensive, movie makers sometimes take their cameras outside and use the real world. Some movies are shot entirely on location. Location filming does not always mean visiting the real place where the action is set. Chinatown is an example of this as many cities have a Chinatown that looks similar to streets in Beijing.
