FAQ

There is lots of clipart out there but it's all ordinary and not generally to exciting or unique. I like having people see and use my work. Yeah I guess it's an ego thing, but it also makes it easier to justify the long hours drawing and scanning pictures if I know people enjoy it.
I'm happy to let people use my work for any non commercial use. People send me e-mail and I like that too. Click here to see a list of people who have graphics from Dave's Place.

2.Where do your ideas come from?

Well sometimes people request a specific cartoon or graphic, and then it's just a matter of fulfilling their need and drawing it to their specifications. But then there are other times when the ideas just come out of my "grey matter". I think they're funny, but that doesn't guarantee that anyone else will laugh. I find that pots and pots of coffee help get the creative juices flowing. God Bless Caffeine!

3. Where can I use your cartoons?

You can use my cartoons in absolutely any non-commercial (ie. you don't make any money) manner. Put them on your personal web site, birthday cards, etc... If you do use our graphics please credit us and put my URL on your project.

4. How do I order a custom cartoon? and how much is it?

Just e-mail me a general description of what your looking for. Provide as much information as you have handy. I'll respond with a quote for the project. I require 1/2 of the quoted amount to begin a project and the remainder is due upon completion of the project. Delivery of the sketches will be done via e-mail, feel free to write your suggestions on the cartoons and send them back. We do this process until we find what you're looking for. Finishing touches are done on the approved drawing, and it's e-mailed back to you. The time period and price will vary per project depending on the clients needs and preferences.

5. How can I pay for my custom cartoon?

Alas, right now the payment is only acceptable by cheque or money order. As the demand increases I will be looking into other payment options.
