Kayoty is a hardwre level spyware watchdog software. The word "Kayoty" derived from bangla and it means "who's that?".

Kayoty will display information about the internet or intranet connection in your computer, including IP number, Host Name, Direction of internet/intranet traffic, Amount of data received in bytes ,Amount of data has been sent in bytes and last connection timestamp.

What is Spayware ?

Spyware programs do just that - spy on you. They may send about your browsing information, hard disk data to a server. They may sit between you and the network. 

Immediate symptoms are network traffic not generated by you. And Kayoty will tell you if  network traffic is initiated while you are not using the computer. 

Here you also need to discount the automatic update traffic generated by your Windows OS,  if your computer is setup to install and update automatically. You can check if this updating connection is from Microsoft.com or not by using Kayoty.

Most spyware infests a computer because the user has installed some 'kueool' program, such as an automatic weather report, calendar manager, screen saver, cool web search feature, 'atomic' clock  synchronizer, etc, they all available "free" everywhere in the internet.

Some 'anti-spy' programs are even known to install spyware after removing other spyware!!! 

And what 'anti-spy' programs does , when user is online, is not known !!!! But using Kayoty, you will see theses spywares internet/intranet activity .

Kayoty does not remove any spyware but reports network traffic to you as the owner of your own computer. So that you can take counter measurement based on the information shown on Kayoty screen.

And it is quite difficult to remove spyware automatically. But it is possible to remove by doing it interactively with the user. Subedar Technologies is testing a product like that and soon to be released.

How to install ?

Get the installable package from http://geocities.datacellar.net/jahan.geo or email jahan@bol-online.com.

And then just unzip and click on the setup.exe. Rest is automatic.


How to uninstall ?

Go to Control Panel-Add/Remove and then select Kayoty.
